What you need
- Class B driving licence
- Taxi driver licence (kjøreseddel)
- A clean record
- Able to communicate in Norwegian or English
Taxi experience is an advantage.
How to get a taxi driver licence
- 1You must be at least 20 and have a clean record.
- 2You must have held a class B licence without interruption for at least two years.
- 3Pass the taxi driver test at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. With a CPC for passenger transport you do not need the test.
- 4A medical certificate from a doctor, no more than three months old.
- 5If you are a foreign citizen, you must as a rule have lived in Norway for four years. This does not apply if you are an EEA citizen and can present a police certificate from your home country.
You apply for the licence through the police. Always check the latest requirements with the police and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
